Does this calculator design the retaining wall?

No. It is a material takeoff only. Structural stability, soil pressure, drainage, reinforcement, geogrid, and footing requirements are outside its scope.

Does visible height include buried base course?

No. The default calculation uses visible wall height. Add embedded or buried courses separately if your system requires them.

Why are courses rounded up?

A partial course still requires another row of blocks to reach or exceed the entered height.

Does it handle curves?

It assumes a straight wall. Curves can change block count and cut/waste requirements.

What does the base gravel result represent?

It is a simple rectangular volume from wall length, entered base width, and entered base depth; compaction and excavation overage are not included.
